Is there any possible method available to notify me every time CMS Made Simple is released (particularly security related releases)? I looked around for some mailing list or some other form of notification but no luck.
Any suggestions?
Thank you
Ken

Yeah... I second that. My system administrator specifically asked to be notified as soon as new releases are available.

I didn't find that option in the forge. Is there any other way to get email notifications about new releases? The announcements mailing list doesn't include all security updates.
E.g. Drupal has a comprehensive security mailing list, with notifications about core and contributed module updates and vulnerabilites. I think this could be useful for CMSMS as well.

Yeah they most likely need a Security Newsletter, we on the other hand have very few security releases, you will see if a new version of CMSMS is available when you log into a site it appears at the top...
This is from a 1.6.6 install...
You can also go here...

The biggest problem for me is that I maintain the CMS for a client and rarely need to login myself. Is there a module that could send the notification to my email?
My client doesn't update the site even weekly either, so there can be a significant lag for updating even if they notified me as soon as they notice it. I also don't think it's their job to keep track of updates.
I'm on the announcements list, but not all releases are reported there

@Emppu
you can take a look at SimpleSiteInfo and SimpleSiteManager modules, first one is installed on clients Installation and second on some of your installations where you plan to check updates for other Installs.
After you have everything setup in SimpleSiteManager you are able to see current version of CMSMS and all modules installed and available updates of all installs where you have SimpleSiteInfo installed.
