Multiple CMSMS installs, sync users and passswords?

I have two (and probably soon to be more) installations of CMS Made Simple.  Is it possible to have these installations share usernames/passwords through a shared database or possibly a connection to an LDAP server?  Any way to have the usernames/passwords synced would be great...if possible.
