TinyMCE editor missing image browse button

I have the TinyMCE editor installed and prefer it to the default FCKEditor. One problem though is when inserting an image via the editor toolbar the image dialog is displayed but there is no image browser button to the right of the Image URL edit box on the General tab.
I have done a search on this issue on the forums but although others have reported the same as yet I have not found a solution.
Does anyone have a fix for this?
TIA

First off
what versions of CMSMS and the tinyMCE module are you running?
also make sure that the folders Images Flash and Media exist in the uploads folder and that their permissions are set to 777... if TinyMCE can't see these folders and write to them then the browse button doesn't appear... as there is nothing to browse...
Cheers

Robsta - thanks for your reply.
I am running CMSMS version 1.04 and Tiny MCE v2.1.1.1.
My Uploads folder had an Images folder which was set to 777. I didn't have Flash or Media folders so I have added them and made permissions 777, but still nothing - see the attached image.
I have also tried in Firefox with all the extensions disabled (as was suggested in another post I read with the same issue) and in IE7, but still nothing.
Any other thoughts/ideas? Thanks.

okay this sounds kinda crazy but have you cleared your cache and refreshed the pop up window? TinyMCE has a compressor with quite agressive caching...
And check your admin users do have upload permissions switched on in the permissions section...

Just done both, but that makes no difference either. I notice that if I try the Insert Flash option then that dialog is missing a browse button also.
Could it be that something in the tinyconfig.php file is not set correctly, e.g. an incorrect path?

I have it running perfectly on CMSMS 1.06 but I used the CMSMS 2.05 TinyMCE Module from the forge.
I agree with the config posibility... is the site in a subfolder or is it at root level... are there any javascript errors showing when you load the page... which browser are you using?

I haven't upgraded to 1.06 yet. I was about to but then saw that v1.1 was due for full release soon. I upgraded to TinyMCE 2.1.1.1 recently, but I don't know if I had the image browse option working then or not as this is the first time I have used it.
I have the site installed in a sub-folder, e.g.
www.mydomain.co.uk/cmsmadesimple/
I am using Firefox 2 including the Firebug plug-in which reports no page errors. I have tried it in IE7 also, but with the same result.

Hmm
But you did use the CMSMS module to install tinyMCE in the first place? If not it may be the root cause ... try downloading the latest module from the forge and upgrade it...

Problem solved!
I examined the code in tinyconfig.php and found that it referred to a plugin called simplebrowser. Looking then at the TinyMCE v2.04 folders which I had left on my server it contained a folder for this plugin, but the v2.1.1.1 folders did not. I copied the v2.04 simplebroswer folder into the same point in the structure under the v2.1.1.1 folders, enabled the plugin in the CMSMS for TinyMCE configuration by checking it in the list and voila ... a working browser button!
Thanks very much for your assistance and prompting me in the right direction. I hope this helps someone else to fix the same.

Well hello everyone,
I wish I could second that.
But I'm afraid that all of the above given points are duely checked, but still, TinyMCE doesn't show the browse-button.
I'm on CMSMS 1.1.4.1 "Taga" here with both TinyMCE (2.2.4) and TinyMCEadv (2.2.2) installed, both don't disply the browse button. FCKEditorX (1.0.3) however DOES show the browse button AND is able to select the images.
Still, I have to admit that I do have a upload-problem: the uploads/images/ folder are set to 777, so that is ok. However, I can't upload any file by either TinyMCE or FCKEditor. But the Filemanager works!
I'm apprechiating ANY help very much!
Cheers,
