FrontEndUsers Does Not Show as Installed

Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

FrontEndUsers Does Not Show as Installed

Post by itmservnet »

Hi folks....Randy here..

Firstly I am running CMS 1.0.6 on my 1and1 host.  I am not sure but I believe the PHP version is 4.2(?).

I have CMSMS, v 1.73.10, installed on my module list page.  I have FrontEndUsers showing up in the list of modules, but not as being installed.  It says that "Minimum CMSMS Version Required: 1.0" is required.  I have 1.73.10.  The FrontEndUsers help file says that it is dependent on CMSMailer => 1.73.3.  I hoped that the later version would be downward compatible with the FrontEndUsers, ModuleManager, and Search modules.

I get the same information regarding the ModuleManager and Search modules.  It says that "Minimum CMSMS Version Required: 1.0" also.

According to the FrontEndUser's help file, I should, after installation, access the admin panel to the FrontEndUsers module under the "Users & Groups" menu.  It is not there, ergo it must not be installed.

So, what have I done incorrectly?  The complete download for these modules was installed in the modules sub-dir on the 1and1 server.  I rechecked them against the original downloads, file for file.

They do show up in the module list.  They just don't show up as installed.  I installed nuSOAP at the same time and it's in there perfectly.

I'd appreciate any insight anyone has on this.  Being new to CMS, I thought that maybe there wasn't a problem and I just didn't know what the heck I was doing.  But either way, it doesn't seem that I'm able to use the module(s).

Thanx in advance!
