Cant Login to admin - has been fine for months and now won't login...

Hello
I have a CMSMS website (v0.13 Canary, Linux server) which has been online for about 4-6 months, running smoothly for all of that time without a problem.  Installation went fine, many updates along the way have always gone well.

For some reason today, out of the blue I can't login!

The login screen just sits there and goes nowhere.  Funny thing is, I can login using IE but not Firefox.  But my client uses IE and can't login...?  So this is inconsistent and doesn't make sense to me.

Could this be some sort of security attack on the site?  Or something on the server to cause this?

Any help appreciated, client needs to login and I'm a bit worried.  ???

Thanks.

I tried a few things and now I can login successfully.  I have not heard whether this has worked for my client yet but thought I'd post my findings for anyone else with a similar problem.

1) clear browser cookies and cache
2) if possible to login to cmsms on other browser, clear website cache too (can't hurt)

It worked for me after I did step 1).

:D

If my client can't login after doing this, I will send a query to the web hosting company, perhaps they have done something to the server recently as we have done nothing different to the site lately.
