[Solved] How to setup groups for editing specific menu-parent and all children

I want to set-up an authorisation structure to have certain people to edit only content relevant to their group. If I edit content in 1.0.5 by default I see all active users in the "additional editors". I only want people/groups to be able to edit all content, that is listed below a certain page. F.e. if I have

- home
- group1
- group2

I'd like to define to persons/groups that can edit/add/re-order all content, but only within group1 or group2.

Right now, in admin mode, I can't even see who can edit a certain page, as all active users are listed.

Thanks for the reply Cyberman.

But how can I setup the editor beside admin for a specific page, or can I only give access to all people that have editor-rights. I can't add additional editors to certain pages, as all users are listed. If I could add a single editor besides admin, I could work for the time being, otherwise I've to give full editor-access to all.

I've read about right-mouse to add additional editors, but I don't see that in my environment.

For that I'm using a group without any permission.

Now you can define additional editors (click user name(s) and save page - for more than one use shift-click). These users can see only pages you gave access.

Cyberman,

thanks for that insight. I never knew that you see all editors and by just highlighting the names and saving the page you marked the additional editors. I was expecting to see only additional editors in the list instead of "seeing them all, where highlighted ones can edit".

I'll mark this one solved.
