Online Editor for Templates

Hi,
I've been using CMS Made Simple for a while and I generally love it.
One thing I might wish the future version of CMSMS is, a syntax hightlighting editor/WYSIWYG editor for templates.
I'm a html/css hand coder and I love editing layout code using a program named PSPad since it has space indenting and syntax hight lighting. When I goes into the template editing part of CMSMS, it's just a plain textarea, though I'm ok working at it, but if it has nicer syntax hightlighting and indentation and it would be great..., also hopefully a WYSIWYG alternative is provided for this.

With my best,
Jim

Look at this module: http://dev.cmsmadesimple.org/projects/externalizer/

I can't imagine it (but what if...).
But there were some suggestions of code-highlighters. Can't find now.

Thanks for giving the info on editarea, it's really great! Hopefully this will be default in the next version.

With my best,
