changing metadata textarea into textbox

pls check the image..
first off, im gonna change the "admin panel".
you see there that metadata input is represented by a textarea. im changing it into textbox, but problem is that i dont know where to change it. i tried to trace where it is but to no avail.
can any developer help me on this one? thanks..
