Install password problems - where to from here?

Problem: after a successful install, the password to get into the admin section will not work (error message: "Username or password incorrect").
I've tried deleting the install from the server and reinstalling.
I've tried re-downloading the CMSMS software (1.05) from here, and reinstalled.
I've tried the SQL fix suggested here (
http://forum.cmsmadesimple.org/index.ph ... l#msg16270) through PHPMyAdmin without success.
I am certain that the username and password has been entered correctly both during the initial install and when trying to login to the admin section.
So where to from here?

websites,
are you sure you're not trying to logon with the mySQL-db password instead of your created/entered admin account during install. One thing in the users/passwords is not to use blanks/underscores f.e. what if you try an "simple" password to see if that works.

Hi Ronny,
thanks for your prompt response.
For convenience, I've used the same u/n and p/w for MySQL and when creating the admin account through the install. Surely that could not cause a problem?
I am completely certain that the u/n and p/w that I created with the CMS install is the same one I have typed in while trying to access the admin section in CMSMS.

Hi Pierre,
cookies are enabled in my browser (the second part mentioned). I don't know what the first part ("enable server side PHP sessions ") means.
I've installed 1.0.5 in a shared hosting reseller account I have with HTPPMe. On another domain in my hosting account I have a 1.0.2 install that is working fine, so I suspect that server side PHP permissions may not be the problem.

Will this is interesting.
I did another reinstall and chose to use admin as u/n and p/w for the admin section. This time it worked fine.
