Module Manager ate my theme

Hi all:

I'm using CMSMS v1.0.5 installed in a directory on linux server.  Love this CMS!

I wanted to install an FAQ module so I tried downloading Questions v1.0Beta 6 from Module Manager and 2 things happened simultaneously.

First, the CMS theme disapeared living me with a long white page of text and links.
Second, the following errors/warnings:

Warning: main(/home/livingx/public_html/climbKili/modules/CGExtensions/CGExtensions.module.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/livingx/public_html/climbKili/modules/Questions/Questions.module.php on line 30

Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required '/home/livingx/public_html/climbKili/modules/CGExtensions/CGExtensions.module.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/livingx/public_html/climbKili/modules/Questions/Questions.module.php on line 30

the thing is i logged out, cleared cache, and restarted Firefox (i'm on Mac, btw).  it seems the CMS theme won't restore.  Has this ever happen to anyone?

Any clues on what i should do to bring it back to life?

go in via ftp and delete the questions module (if you can).  Looks like there was some error expanding the XML file.

Hi, long time no talk CalGuy.

I tried deleting the files, but got this error:

Server said:
Could not delete action.addcategory.php: Permission denied

what should I set permissions to in order to remove files, please?

Robert:

I tried deleting each file, no success.  I tried deleting via file manager in cPanel, no luck.  so if the offending file has a fatal error on line 30, which currently reads as:

'CGExtensions','CGExtensions.module.php'));

It seems to have inherited a carriage return which broke up line 29.  the thing is that I cannot upload a modified file, i cannot edit/save the server files.  I'm held hostage!

How should it be changed to make this work? As always, this is a rush.  :'(

okay, I see what happened there, you installed the new questions beta, which relies on CGExtensions and CGExtensions isn't installed.

you'll need to set permissions to 777 to be able to delete the files you need to delete.  If you can't change the permissions in cpanel, or via ftp, give me a shout I may have a script to help you out.
