Hi,

I am a complete novice at this sort of thing. I am a competant html and css website designer but dont know programming at all. Am I going to need to know programming to work with this content management system? I wanted to download it but am already stuck! I clicked on download and then another download button on the summary page and documents relating to version 1.0.4 were highlighted in pink  but I couldnt figure out how to download them from there. I am wondering - as a non-programmer - whether I am going to be able to build a website with this sytem? Please tell me I'm wrong cos it looks so brilliant and exactly what I need.

Thank you very much for your help.

It is very simple and easy to use - you should have no problem, especially if you already know HTML and CSS.

Go to the downloads page:

http://www.cmsmadesimple.org/downloads.shtml

and click on the:

cmsmadesimple-1.0.4.zip

link, download it, unzip it and read the docs, which are in the docs folder.

Good luck!

Yes, RTFM, which is online (wiki) too.
Installing and using CMSms doesn't require programming knowledge.
Have fun

Thank you guys very much for your help and (cheeky) advice. I am pleased to say that I have managed to download it now. Now that I am assured that I don't need to know php, I shall sit down with a nice cup of coffee and follow the manual.  Thanks again. Much appreciated. Mandy.
