Admin section partly down...?

Hi,
when I log in as Admin on my site, everything else works fine but:
1. in Content > Pages, I just get a blank white page
2. Content > Image Manager gives this:
Invalid base directory: /var/www/tcrfi/tcrfi/public_html/novarca/cerm/uploads/images
the properties for that directory are 777...I don't know what the problem could be?
