CMS Made Simple Forums

I have installed CMSMS by copying all the files to the www-server and running the install script there. So far, so good. But I no not like the thought that someone by accident or on purpose can run the /install/install.php script.

My qustion is: Are the files in the /install directory, or most critical, the /install/install.php necessary after installation, or can I delete the files in the /install directory (and the directory) after having installed CMSMS?

I found the answer in the documentaion, where it clearly says that one shall delete the /install directory.
