Our website done with cmsms

Our new website (dutch) is done with CMSMS.

We`ve used;
- Cms Made Simple Core
- Front end user / Custom content for client login
- the form module (much easier then building your own forms)
- .htaccess for pretty urls
- and the lovely Jquery javascript library
- thickbox plugin for jquery for the clickable images.

The "Whats your flavour?" stylesheets switcher is build with Jquery, same goes for the slideshow in de header.

The "Headlines" has an optional button to show another 5 headlines (click on "toon meer headlines" )  when opened click on "sluit extra headlines" to close them, also done with jquery.

Below the "Contact us" heading you can show / hide a form for ordering our brochure clicking on "Klik hier voor de gratis digitale brochure!" Also done with Jquery.

At the bottom if clicked on "disclaimer" it shows a copyright note which auto-disappears after 4 seconds.

The services(diensten) page submenu is done with jquery also, the text can easily be changed in the admin, same as normal, its just uses jquery to hide the parts not selected.

XHTML should be valid, at least last time I checked it was :)
CSS isnt valid.

We stilll need to add the offline work we`ve to our portfolio so that page isnt finished yet.

you can check it out at: http://www.signex.nl

We have decided this time, not to care about 800*600 (about 3% of our visitors in 2006) so visitors should have 1024*768 or above.

design is ok but some of the fonts are very hard to read (footer) and I don't like the Italics in your category headers (About Us, Headlines)

Thanks I will make the line in the footer a little darker, for the headings i`m thinking about changing them to truetrypetext.

thanks both for the comments

Nice job! Like the "non-standard" design, feels fresh. Its great to see how people use CMSMS.

One suggestion: the typography is a bit inconsistant. On the Diensten-page for example, the p-text is not the same under "Webdesign & development" as under "About us" (line-height differs). This you can easily fix.

Best regards!

Terrific design, but I think I'll echo some of the other comments regarding fonts.

- A lot of the italicized fonts look very jagged and some of the smaller ones are difficult to read.
- The text on the bottom row of links is very "blocky" and difficult to read.

thanks, maybe try to put on "cleartype" if you use windows xp, italic text and small fonts will really get better to read and looking better. But most people dont you use cleartype yet, although IE7 uses it by default

It looks excellent to me. I'm on a mac, though, so it all looks smooth.

I`ve changed most fonts to non-Italic, but on a Mac Italic fonts do still look better. If you`re on a PC and dont have Cleartype on Italic fonts are really ugly  >:(  but with Cleartype on they look good  :D
