Hello,

I'm new to CMSMS and I have a site I'm trying to setup with it.

Basically, I want a section where the client can add articles to the site and show them like news items or blog entries.

But, I also want, on another page, a list of the most recent 5 articles with just the date and title as links to that entry.

I can't seem to figure out how to get everything set up for that and I'm all stumped.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You are right : the news module can do what you want. See its help in the module manager inside the admin.

One page shoud use one template with the {news...} tag to list entries summaries. See the detailpage attribute in the help. The other page will use another template with another tag call to show the entier story.

Your client will fill entries in the admin news entries (Add content, news).
Have a look at the wiki too. And at the sample content too.
