CMSMS is the first real CMS that I used. Most of my previous sites were editable by the owner. After the user logged in, they were able to click on an "Edit this page" icon, which would give them a TinyMCE interface which will update the database (I have a tutorial on Hotscripts regarding this)..
I hesitated to use a CMS because I didn't want my clients to ask for a feature and then have to tell them that "this feature isn't available". After using CMSMS, it made me a believer. It's so easy to create modules (just wrote my first) and to customize existing ones. Completely changes the way I do sites now.
