Do you have any advice for me?
Hi, each theme for CMSMS is distinct and, as such, probably would not work with a different template's menu. What you're after is a new menu rather than a "fix". Drop-down menus are not the easiest thing if you're a beginner, so I would suggest choosing a different theme, making do with the tabs in Ocean, or commissioning a designer from these forums to build what you're after.
Commercial help forums are here:

I don't have any plans to develop Ocean further at the moment, although I will fix bugs and issues.

Hi Deak,
Thank you for this excellent template. One problem though. No doubt that I am doing something wrong, but when I replace the text 'Put your logo here' in the template with an image using the HTML tag, the menu moves down - see
www.gerbenhellinga.com . How can I prevent this? I'm really a nincompoop when it comes to editing of templates, so I probably am not using the right method for placing a logo.
Thanks for your help.

Hi delamare,
The problem is the dimensions of your logo (which is more of a banner, I think).
First, the maximum height (without customisation) of the logo area is 114px and your banner is 182px. This has pushed everything down by 68px.
Second -- and more serious -- your banner is too wide at 1024px. In fact, it's so wide that it has taken up the full width of the website's canvas (960px). The masthead area is actually two columns: the left column is for the logo, the right column is for the search box. Your banner (in the left column) has eaten up all the width and wrapped the search box underneath. As a rough guide, I would estimate that the max width for the left column is about 680px which allows about 280px for the search.
I think what you need to do is take the banner you have created and resize it to 680px, remove the background, and save it off as a transparent 24-bit PNG. If you're concerned about older versions of IE which struggle with 24-bit PNGs, you may want to
check this out. Alternatively, remove the drop shadow and you can probably get away with an 8-bit PNG or a GIF.
If I'm honest, I now recognise that creating a logo area with a gradient wasn't very helpful. It should have been a solid colour.
Hope that helps!

Hi Deak,
Thank you for your reply, much appreciated. I tinkered with the size of the logo and I found out that a dimension of 640x90 works best to keep the menu in place. Thanks for your tips - I didn't know that PNG did transparency so well.

Hey Deak,
first off thank you for this great template, I love it. Love those straight forward crisp clear and simple designs.
But there are just two things I'm not quite happy with:
1. How can I get the news-entries automatically in the news-block like it is with the standard cms design (In your exampe it also seems to be right)? There is an extra block for it when editing or creating a site but I don't really like to type in the news directly into the site...
2. How can I disable those white text-fields flashing over each picture of the slideshow?
Hopefully you can help.

just inserted the tag {cms_module module="News"} in the news block.
But I still don't know how to disable those flashing text fields.

I have uploaded the theme (i love the clean look) and have been playing around with the picture area on the homepage. For some reason I can not figure out how to move all text "right sub content" &" left sub content" to fall below the picture? When I look at the code everything appears correct but the sub content areas "hide" behind the picture?
I haven't looked to tackle the rotating pics yet? Can anyone diagnose my issue and help me set this up correctly?
Yep, I'm the new guy

Hi,
Sorry, I can't visualise the problem you're describing. Any chance of a screenshot or link?
All the best,
Deak

Hi Deak,
very good Theme - thanks for this.
But I've got still a problem with the submenus. Please take a look at
http://www.viasol-ol.de/index.php?page=leitbild. As you can see the submenus are under the active link and without any CSS-Format. If you click one of those, the other links apearing on the next pages are not in the right order and/or not linked with the given content.
I've read about the bug here
http://forum.cmsmadesimple.org/index.php/topic,37114.msg175657.html#msg175657 but this does'nt fix my problems.
Maybe there's a solution?

Hey guys, I've been away for a couple of days and come back with a heavy cold and just feel like sleeping! I know there's a couple of questions here that need answering and I will definitely get back to you, this week I hope.

Hello, thanks for a nice template, mate

I have a little question about setting images to work like slideshow.
{process_pagedata}
{sitename} - {title}
{metadata}
{stylesheet}
{JQueryTools action=incjs}
{literal}
$(window).bind("load", function() {
$("div#featuredContent").slideViewerPro({
thumbs: 6,
autoslide: true,
asTimer: 4000, // Adjust timer to your taste
typo: true,
galBorderWidth: 0,
shuffle: false,
thumbsVis: false
});
});
{/literal}
{cms_selflink dir="start" rellink=1}
{cms_selflink dir="prev" rellink=1}
{cms_selflink dir="next" rellink=1}
Put your logo here...
{search}
{menu template='ocean : simple-nav' start_level='1' number_of_levels='1'}
{menu template='ocean : simple-nav' start_level='2' number_of_levels='1'}
{content block="Introduction"}
">
{content}
{content block="Sub Content Left"}
{content block="Sub Content Right"}
Naujienos
{content block="News Right"}
{cms_module module="News"}
Footer text
I would like to ask where should be links to images? I think that I am doing something wrong because it shows just one image in my website. P.S. sorry for bad English

Smo6, I'm not sure what you mean here and your screenshot link is dead. If you mean you want to disable the text that is displayed over the top of the image, then I'm afraid I can't help you. The slideshow works "as is" without recoding the JavaScript, however if you Google "jQuery carousel" you will find lots of different implementations and something might suit you better.
