No.
I think that is better use a good soft for each thing you want.
FMS is good but not good for community; better use SMF for this.

Hate to drag this up... but I think this post is headed south... and is prime on this topic... thou I think the intentions are good in there but the repeated topic of how to post is backing the user in to a corner as if they should be apologizing for asking a question...

http://forum.cmsmadesimple.org/index.ph ... 612.0.html

Everyone has always told me that the only stupid question is one not asked...

so may-be when a user can't find the answer, for whatever reason, may-be the assumption should be that we don't know what they have or have not done and just post the link or just not mention the rules more than once??

if there are going to be rules I'd think so for a standard post for this type of issue... something simple but not punishing...

These are just some thoughts and like I said I think there is just some miscommunications in that post... I'm just concerned and mean well ...

Cheers

I agree - I think there is quite a bit of miscommunication in that post.  A classic case of how it is very hard to tell tone from an email/post (versus face-to-face)...

There wasn't a problem in that thread till the Original Poster had an issue with being asked to follow the rules.

I was just thinking that in a round-about way the more everyone piped, the more encouraging it was to engage in the skin drain type of off topic conversation.. not saying the point was not right... it was as I saw it, not that it matters, and that person could have handled it better too... I was just thinking it's one of those times to walk way... not ban or punish just let them be till they get out of control with it then do something...

Again these are just thoughts related to this topic here and thought that post was a good example of the sticky situation that rules should be modeled to handle... :) if such rules are in place then I'll just move on..

Just talking it out and trying help :D

Cheers
