Hi folks.
Stay cool. With me the selfreg module caused the problem:
Code: Select all
Fatal error: Cannot override final method CMSModule::can_cache_output() in /homepages/16/d184975754/htdocs/2012_imlee/modules/SelfRegistration/SelfRegistration.module.php on line 1352
Guestbook module also. So just rename this folders and go ahead. I'm sure latest versions will be available soon.
Cheers

Hi,
@square
Yep a full list of modules !
are you sure all the modules are ready for Cms 1.11 ?
before upgrade, rename the other modules are not in the core
Just upgrade with the core module and after test one by one other modules

Just what error says:
Code: Select all
Syntax Error in template "globalcontent:leftcol1" on line 6 "<p>{search search_method=”post” resultpage="search-results"}</p>" - Unexpected ""
You have a syntax error in global content leftcol1 on line 6 and ” is also wrong use ' or ", Smarty3 is a bit more sensitive about wrong syntax.

We had long Beta process, it is a pity nobody actually invested some time to test a special case like this.

I can see that after upgrading to 1.11 site which uses Advanced Content module breaks. I tryed this upgrade @localhost. Should I wait for a new version of module Advanced Content, or this way of managing content is deprecated in 1.11?
Sorry if this has been already explained.
Thanks.

@darconny
There is a "BETA" release of AdvancedContent, so you can test it, but as it says BETA it is not recommended using anything as BETA for production.
Test, take notes, give feedback to module developer.
Some modules will need module developer love for 1.11, which means before upgrading see if there are modules that you are using ready and updated at all.

Thanks Goran for your quick answer, I missed that 0.9.4 BETA released. So I will test it as you suggested.

@jce76350
Renaming some modules worked for me. Not only News module.
Now, I'm waiting for some modules to be updated and compatible with 1.11 (TinyMCE...)
Thanks for your help.

After a quick testing, Advanced Content 0.9.4beta is working fine with 1.11.
There is a small issue though, when in edit page mode 'block_type' parameter is not working on OneEleven admin theme (all blocks in a long list under one 'page_tab'). However it is working when I switch back to NCleanGray. Probably a script issue related to newest admin theme which is very nice and I wanna get used to it

Please do NOT report issues with third party modules here. Contact the module developer directly. Posts in official boards related to third party modules will be deleted.
Notifications Not Working (displaying on my 1.11 install)

Hello, I just did a clean installation of 1.11 in order to get familiar with everything before I get into upgrading from 1.10.3 - So far everything with the installation has been 'smooth'. I have installed modules without any issues etc.
I do notice a couple of minor things in my opinion; and maybe it's just me. But you know on the top-left hand corner, where the 'Notifications' display, if I click on it, it will not show them... where it says "You have 2 unhandled notifications" - I know by default that 1 is for the 'install' directory and the other for the CMSMailer, so I am not worried... but when I click on it or the little envelope icon, it doesn't do anything... before it would show me the notifications.
The only other thing I noticed, is that if you click the main navigation menus on the left hand side, they don't expand or do anything *unless* you specifically click on the *icon* - again, not a big deal... but at first I thought something had gone wrong with the installationl; but clicking over the icons seem to work.
Great job by the way on version 1.11 so far looks great!

@fearmydesign
You should be more specific:
a) What browser?
b) What OS?
c) JavaScript turned on?
Beta process was long, there was not a single report with these issues.

Yeah, than it's probably my computer or installation... I am using Google Chrome, but funny I just tried it on my Firefox & IE and same thing... it may be my installation I suppose. Here is a screen shot of the IE - here I am trying to click on Layout where the arrow is, and it will not expand or do anything... it's probably my installation. Thanks
