I'd love to see your site, but I just get gobbledygook.

Hi TallDave.
Just spotted that myself, all fix now.
I have several domains on my server and I just (last night) changed this site over from 19sixtyone.co.uk to mikemuscroft.co.uk
Thought I'd made all the adjustments, but forgot to edit the config file. A warning to everyone else, move stuff about on your server, but always remeber to edit the config file.
Bless you.
Mike.

Hi Everyone.
After finishing some client sites, I have finally been able to revamp my old site and give it a new look as well as upgrading it to use CMSMS. There is not to much over-coding and the header uses the very nice random image plugin. It validates xhtml transitional OK, but I still need to fix a bug to validate the css... need to buy some more candles to work with first though...
Let me know what you think... Good or bad.

Hello Mike,
I really like your site layout, so much so that am trying to duplicate it with my son's website at
http://www.kareempanton.net altough the new version is not yet published. I am using the same randomly displayed banner on each page, however my graphic is 745 wide by 240 high and there is a very small but extremely irritating gap between the edge of the banner and the page wrapper, which refuses to be removed. What can I do to fix it. Also at higher screen resolutions unlike your site which middles the viewing area, mine stays to the left of the screen with a large gap to the right. This is driving me nuts please help if you can. Thanx much. CHEERS!!!!!

Hi Debon.
Stay cool. More than happy to help, but it would be handy if you could let me see your site in development, perhaps a link to it or perhaps a copy of your xhtml & css.
It sounds an easy thing to correct, but need to see source first.
On the other hand, if you really like my site that much, just copy the code and use it. If you can't do that let me know where to send my data to and I'll send you my template code and css etc.
Bless you.
Mike.

Hi Debon.
Please find attached my code for the template and css for my site design.
As you like it so much and incase anyone else would like to use it, I have posted it here as 2 attached text files.
Simply open CMSMS in Login mode, go to Templates and create a new one, then cut 'n' paste my code (complete) into the new template. Edit paths etc to suit your image etc locations.
Do the same with the css code. Make sure you assign my css code when you have done to your template.
Any problems, post back here. Would also appreciate a link back to my site, something simple like "Template design by Mike Muscroft" linked to
http://www.mikemuscroft.co.uk/
Bless you.
Mike

Hi Debon.
Just another thought. You might want to remove your email address from your previous post, just incase the SpamBots get hold of it.
Just log into the forum and go to your post, click on the modify button and edit out your email. Always best to keep it private and to use the private message system built into the forum.
Bless you.
Mike.

Yo Mike,
I took a look at the code and realised that the difference between our approaches is that whereas you are using the random image tag to generate your large image while I am using the banner manager to do the same thing. I have played around with the code a bit and it now looks a lot better although still not as clean as I would like it to be. I will continue working with it. CHEERS!!!
