Ok I use FTP so that's clear then. But which folder do I need to rightclick and CHMOD (Modules or every file and subfolder within it?)

Upgraded form 1.9.4.2 to 1.9.4.3 Everything ok. Upgraded all Modules then. Then CHMOD 'everything' tot 777. Tried to upgrade to 1.10-full. At step 6 I get the following error:
Fatal error: Class CMSForm may not inherit from final class (CmsObject) in /home/users/r/e/redeag/www/modules/CMSForms/lib/classes/CMSForm.class.php on line 374
I'm getting a bit frustrated, please help me.

Not sure what that error message is. Check that all modules are compatible with 10.+
When I first installed on some sites it stalled at step 6 so I just re tired and then it worked.

the error says the module CMSForms gives an error. Remove CMSForms before upgrading. Problem solved.

Problem solved for so far it concernes the error CMSFORMS. Tried to upgrade again. Works fine up to step 6. The system starts to upgrade, but stays at step 6. When I try to open the website I get the following error:
Fatal error: Cannot override final method CMSModule::GetModulePath() in /home/users/r/e/redeag/www/modules/Captcha/lib/classes/module/class.captcha.php on line 1048
For the information I try to upgrade form 1.9.4.3 to 1.10 (Martinique).

You have to run the upgrade to the end. Try it again and make sure that your config file is writable.

Configfile is CHMOD 777 (what more can I do). Run the upgrade up to the end is what I would like, but to do most

but the upgrade stops at step 6. It seems to run (upgrade) for a while (about 1 minute) and then it ends sticking at step 6.

It did that a few times with me try a different browser see if that makes any difference and let it run for a lot longer. Check out the previous posts on this issue you may find something.

I can try that, but the 'running' simply stops; it's not that I'm stopping the process actively. Going to see whether there are more people with this problem....

CMS Forms and CAPTCHA deinstalled before upgrading; some result: process end at step 6!! Downgrading tot 1.9.4.3 end up in a website without menu? Cannot restore the older version one way or another.
This upgrade is getting on my nerves now. Lost about two days now and even dropped back in stability. What's wrong??

I'm back on CMS version 1.9.4.3 with a working menu again. Had to deinstall some modules end reinstall these in order to match the versions with the CMS version. My site needs to be 'up' as much as possible, so I stop upgrading for a while unfortunately. What the problem is I don't know, but I appreciate all your helps and posts!! When somebody knows the answer to upgrade to 1.10.x without troubles I would be very happy
