Re: Modules & Plugins cease to function after Fasthost upgra
Hello, really struggling here, since i copied the 1.10.1 files across to the webserver, since i have done this i cant run the /install/upgrade.php nor can i get to the home page of my site or admin page as it says "Site down for maintenance".
I dont want to restore the original site, can anyone suggest why this is happening?

hi, thanks for coming back to me, i have copied all the files from 1.10.1. to the webserver as instructed on the CMSMS installation guidance, once i have copied all the files successfully i go to my browser type my URL with /install/upgrade.php and it doesnt load the install page, in addition to this when i navigate to my URL home page i get "Site down for maintenance.", this same message is shown when i go to my admin page.
Thanks again for you help.
Thanks again for you help.
Re: Modules & Plugins cease to function after Fasthost upgra
In one of my first posts I gave you a link to the recommended upgrade procedure to 1.10.
Didn't you encounter any issues there?
You mentioned earlier that you downloaded various versions. One of them was 1.9.4.3, so I guess you did run that particular upgrade.Recommended Upgrade Procedure:
[...]
If the version of CMSMS is less than 1.9.3:
a) Perform an upgrade to CMSMS 1.9.4.3 and verify that everything is working fine.

Re: Modules & Plugins cease to function after Fasthost upgra
Hi, yes all seemed ok, i was just having a few issues still with modules, i was hoping the upgrade to 1.10.1 may have resolved the module issues.
However i now have this new issue, is this something that happens often? is there a fix?

So what do you see then? Nothing? Any message at all?my browser type my URL with /install/upgrade.php and it doesnt load the install page
Re: Modules & Plugins cease to function after Fasthost upgra
These issues should have been resolved first by upgrading those modules...AdamOwen123 wrote:i was just having a few issues still with modules, i was hoping the upgrade to 1.10.1 may have resolved the module issues.
So please revert back to point b in the Recommended Upgrade Procedure
Recommended Upgrade Procedure:
Users wishing to upgrade to CMSMS 1.10 should follow two similar, but different paths depending upon their sites current version of CMSMS.
It is always important to have a backup of your site, including the database and all relative files before proceeding with an upgrade.
If the version of CMSMS is less than 1.9.3:
a) Perform an upgrade to CMSMS 1.9.4.3 and verify that everything is working fine.
b) Backup your site again. It is always important to have a known-good-backup.
Re: Modules & Plugins cease to function after Fasthost upgra
If you did not run the upgarde script to 1.10.1 then you can simply revert by overwriting all the files again with the latest one you had working, (1.9.4.3 ?)
When that version is working; upgrade all modules and make sure all is OK before proceeding any further.

Re: Modules & Plugins cease to function after Fasthost upgra
hello,
having problems again, i have downgraded the site to version 1.5.4, it seems that in the error log we are getting the following:
Mon Nov 21 15:50:12 2011] [warn] RewriteCond: NoCase option for non-regex pattern '-d' is not supported and will be ignored.
[Mon Nov 21 15:50:31 2011] [warn] RewriteCond: NoCase option for non-regex pattern '-f' is not supported and will be ignored.
I think this is stopping me from running the upgrade facility?
Is there something i am not doing correctly?

Re: Modules & Plugins cease to function after Fasthost upgra
You should not downgrade further than what you had working before!

Re: Modules & Plugins cease to function after Fasthost upgra
Hi Janaf, we had 1.2.2 working originally
Re: Modules & Plugins cease to function after Fasthost upgra
But did you not have a later version working too?
Someone else may know but some upgrades modify the database. I do not know if they are backwards compatible. There should not be any reason to downgrade further than the highest version that was working....

A post on here said go back to last version working, so this is why i went to 1.2.2
