Pages freeze. Webhost provider won't help..

Hi,

I‘m glad I found this post after a while of searching.

I experience quite the same issues as described in the original post. It started with version 1.9 or version 1.9.1. I have three sites running on the same provider. And they all show the same problems.
There are also some older CMSMS sites on the same provider still running CMSMS 1.8. And they don't have these lags and freezes. They all are on Strato, one of Germany‘s biggest providers. Yes, they are on a shared host but they have 104 MB of php memory.
It‘s a little bit as if CMSMS worked fine in the beginning and now some kind of digestion is building up in the background.
I deleted the cache and deactivated some modules – but this really did not improve the situation.

Additional information:
This does not seem to be a Safari-related problem like proposed in another thread as with other browser I experience the same random delays.
But I kind of do suspect the stylesheets and the caching. (For example: modifying a stlyesheet does not show any effect in the frontend when I hit the Apply-Button. But hitting the Submit-Button does show an effect in the frontend. Is this expected behaviour?)

I hope someone resumes this thread …

Any help or ideas are really appreciated.
