Have you heard anything more from streamline?
The problem isnt happening as often for me today. I wonder if they changed something
(even though tech support tell me they can't even replicate the problem - I've provided a video recording now)
Wouldbe great to get to the bottom of this

I've got a feeling it may be fixed now although i've not heard anything from them.
I had to send them two links to a phpInfo() script so they could see the difference between the two accounts. Before, they were completely different, now when I check them now they are more or less the same.
I think they just moved me to another server:
fhlinux159.fasthosts.net.uk - this one has always been good
fhlinux153.fasthosts.net.uk - this is the one that wasn't working
fhlinux169.fasthosts.co.uk - this is the new one
I'd run a phpInfo() and see if you get any similar results. Under 'Server API' it used to say 'CGI/FastCGI' and there was no reference at all for 'Apache'. Now there's a whole section. You can give the links to them to support what you're saying.
I've not had any more problems with it not displaying the page yet; my CMSMS has seen better days though!
I need to change the path in my config file but can't get on my ftp/ssh anymore! Here goes another round of support tickets!
Let me know how you get on.

Just thought I'd check back in now this is fixed.
I finally got Streamline to sort out my access problems and then it was just a case of changing the path in my config file. Now everything runs brilliantly!
Just in case anyone else is reading this, I would strongly recommend checking your phpInfo() before starting any project. If there is any reference to FastCGI get on to your hoster and tell them you don't want it cos it certainly caused me a whole world of problems.
It might also be a good idea to include it in the specifications for future versions (ie, don't bother trying to run CMSMS with FastCGI!)?

Tom,
I have been having this exact problem with my CMS (intermittent blank screens on Firefox and 'Page cannot be displayed' errors in Internet Explorer). I have spent weeks trying to resolve it.
I eventually found your post and realised that I am on the exact same server fhlinux153.fasthosts.net.uk with Fasthosts.
I have just sent them an email explaining my problem and gave them a link to this thread.
Hopefully they will move me to a different server.
I will let you know how I get on.

Its been a few days now and it is working perfectly.
Seamus, just be aware that you might end up losing access to your FTP/SSH if they don't do it properly which added about 3 extra days of support tickets for me!
Hopefully, they'll read this message and you'll not end up with this problem!
If they do move you, its just a simple change in your config.php file so that CMSMS knows the new path to your website. Don't know how you are with php (I'm only just starting myself), but if you have any probs let me know (I seem to be starting my own help centre here!).

just a qquick note to say I have also been experiencing the same intermittant blank pages / page not found errors using a domain hosted on fhlinux153.fasthosts.net.uk with streamline...
...awaiting a server change.
