I have the same problem; the search works fine everywhere, except when I put it immediately after dynamic navigation - in which case, it gives an error.

I found that I got the error message depending on where the {search} tag was placed, and what template it used to display the results!

If I used {search resultpage='templateA'} I got the error, but if I used {search resultpage='templateB'} I didn't. The only major difference between the two templates is that one used the number_of_levels parameter in the {menu} tag, and one didn't.

Also, if I put the {search} tag inside a Menu Manager template, I got an error. If I put it directly into the template, I didn't.

I've no idea why this would be the case, but there's definitely an error somewhere.

If you go to extensions > tags > search you will see parameters it takes and a warning about where to put it...

I can't see any warnings of where not to put it... 

Must have been old search...

I (think I) found the cause to this, and it's fixed in SVN and will be out with CMS 1.2.1

If you're interested though, I could pre-release the Search module (as long as you're willing to test).  and we could make sure the problem is eliminated.

I'd be more than willing to test if you released a standalone module.
