hi Silmarillion and others.
I've been playing around with the blogs made simple module for some time now.
Some problems i can't figure out:
I get a page not found error when i click the "home" button (or what's it called?) in the breadcrumb trail.

But most importantly for me at the moment:
I want to change the 3 dots ... that appear after the short text of the entry. How to do that? I want to change it into something custom. By the way: How do i control the amount of short entry text that appears there on the first page of the blog before those 3 dots?

thanks in advance!

Best,
Struba

the first problem is already solved. In the settings i canged the root page of the blog to the name of the page where i have the blog appearing. Nice! Now for that other issue!

Hi strube

both your other requests are already implemented in svn-version, and will therefor be there in next version, which I'll release when I've cleaned it up just a bit more...

I'm am eagerly looking forward to the next version! Glad to hear that it is in the SVN! Hurray!
We have begun using your module on www.kriterion.nl/blog. It's in Dutch. I work at that movie theatre.

The categories have links to a category list? well it looks like it does but the page comes up with an RSS feed and it says BLOGS: no entries...

I have removed my thread about my Blog module as it looks like you are doing a much better module...

Are the comments able to be spam protected with captcha yet?...

Actually the Blogs module is nearing a whole new version. Ironed out a lot of the bugs and made it more feature complete.
Feel free to check out the svn-version and test it! I just have some more cleaning up and documentation to do before I release it.
The downside is that it will require an unstall and reinstallations. I did some larger structural changes on the db-side, and it was a bit much for an upgrade function. But I think with this new structure this situation should not occur in the future.

But the newest version is still only in SVN! I hope someone will take the time to check it out as it may take a few days before I get around to do the documentation and releasing 0.3.0.

Hey there. I really really really really really really really really really dig this module. So much so, that I'd like to try out the SVN. I'm trying setup a podcast for http://www.connectya.org, but I keep receiving an error when I try to view the RSS feed. Check it out here:

http://www.connectya.org/index.php?mact ... eturnid=22

My hope is that the new version addresses this issue. So how do I install this module from SVN? Or is there a patch? Thanks, and keep up the great work.

HI fishtenors

I'm really glad you like it! I didn't know there were problems with the rss-feeds, I'll look into it! There's still no patch, but I've attached the latest svn-version to this message. You'll have to rename the doc file to zip... Unfortunately, it requires an uninstall/install if you're upgrading from 0.2 or earlier.

Thank for the speedy reply. You are the man!!! I installed the SVN version, and now I get an Internal Server Error 500 notification. I've never seen this kind of error before.

If you would like access to the CMSMS admin and FTP access, I would be more than happy to oblige. I am not the maintainer of the server, so I don't know anything about it. But I'd like to help in any way I can. Thanks again for your help,

Hi

Wow, never thought I'd be able to trigger that kind of error :D
Both cmsms-admin access and ftp-access would actually help me figure out what this is about... you can mail it to morten@poulsen.org.
Fantastic that you'd give access to help me out. So many server types, and hard to debug, when it's working for yourself.

Sil.
