Hi Abb.
Figured I'd give it a quick go.
Now no site, but this error message showing up:
Parse error: parse error, unexpected $ in /hsphere/local/home/muscroft/mikemuscroft.com/2007/modules/Blogs/Blogs.module.php on line 502
Any ideas?
Mike.
Blog not working
Re: Blog not working
Strange, the files I have sent you were taken from the working website.
To recover the your website you may try deleting modules/Blogs directory, this should kill the module.
Next, re-install the module and try replacing single "action.showblog.php".
Hope this helps.

Re: Blog not working
Hi Abb.
I really must go to this party/celebration soon...
Just put back the original 2 files and posted just your other recommended file.
It's now working - I think.
It looks a little clunky so will work on the styles and templates later to get it looking better.
Thanks for all your hard work and much appreciated help my friend.
Regards.
Mike.
[Addition] Just tried to access the admin side of the module and it shows this error instead of the functions:
Parse error: parse error, unexpected $ in /hsphere/local/home/muscroft/mikemuscroft.com/2007/modules/Blogs/action.defaultadmin.php on line 327
I think I might give up on the blog and try using Wordpress like they do on the main CMSMS website for its blog!!! Now I know why.
Bless you.

Hi Mike,
Cheers,
Alex
As I mentioned earlier, the patch supposedly only adds a single line, somewhere around line 28. Most likely something goes wrong during file transfer.Mike Muscroft wrote: Just tried to access the admin side of the module and it shows this error instead of the functions:

Sounds like a good idea. This blog modules is not exactly useable yet. I shoulld have a look at Wordpress as well.I think I might give up on the blog and try using Wordpress like they do on the main CMSMS website for its blog!!! Now I know why.

I too don't know what you did, but want to say that whatever it was, it works perfectly and I will be forever greatful!abb wrote: If you only want to patch "empty page" problem, you only need to get "action.showblog.php" file and place it into modules/Blogs directory. You need to remove .txt extension, I have added it because forum does not allow attaching files with .php extensions.
Any chance of putting these patches in the default module download, as it will save everyone a lot of confusion!
