How can I get categor dividers into a drop down menu

Post by rhys »

Hello
A client has requested that the drop down menu (horiz css) items are listed in categories like this:

Category A (title only, no link)
Item a link
Item b link
Item c link
Category B (title only, no link)
Item d link
Item e link

Is it possible to do this using cmsms?
Any help much appreciated,

Just make the "Category A" and "Category B" items Section Headers.

Thanks for the help. I've used the 'section header' content type and all works fine in firefox, but in ie6 the drop down menu stops working entirely... any ideas.?
thanks

d'oh... i was missing the jscript on the template... all fixed now thanks, but it has thrown up another problem.

The client (despite my recommendations) wants some of the top level items to link to pages (which makes sense) but others to be just section headers. When I try to make the top level (parent items) into section headers they vanish from the menu. Any ideas?

thanks

That would have to do with the CSS or a menu template call, most likely CSS, look in the page source to see if it's there and just not getting displayed...

More info such as menu template, the source from page view, CSS for menu,,, etc...

I've got the same problem. The client wants some of the top level items to be clickable, whilst others must just be section headers (despite me suggesting that this is a bad way to go). When I try to make them sectionheaders they dissapear - not a styling issue as when I view source, the sectionheader is not present. Any ideas. Same bug in both firefox and explorer. I'm using sectionheaders below the top level nav (level 2) and they behave well.

I need to know which menu template you use or paste it here if it's not a default menu template, and your CSS calls for the menu...
