Hi, I just installed CMSMS and think it is awesome. Nevertheless I have a minor issue wich I can't find the answer for:
I created a menu 'links' in wich I put some links to other sites but I want to open them in my own (CMS Made Simple) site (that is: in the content frame on the right side of the screen). I can not find a possibility to place a target tag, neither do I now what the frame is called.
Does anybody have a sollution?
(Sorry if the story is not that clear. I am no IT-specialist, neither is English my native language. Hope I made myself clear, anyhow.)
opening a link from the menu in the content frame
Re: opening a link from the menu in the content frame
Is this using the default template? The default template doesn't use frames, so there is really no way to easily to this. One option is using piratos' iframe plugin (search the forum for it), making a separate content page for each link, and the iframe plugin (pointing to the new site) would be the only thing inside the content box.

Something about frames is here:

Re: opening a link from the menu in the content frame
The inability to open links in the main content area was a total deal breaker for me. I wanted to run my webmail system, webalizer stats etc. inside the main "frame" and the inablity to do so makes this un-workabale for me. Overall I like the look and feel of this CMS a lot. Maybe they'll add that feature in the future?
Anyone know of a good CMS that will allow the center area to be populated by a link from outside the CMS it self?

Didn't you read what Whishy suggested? His solution fixes your problem and you still will be compliant with guidelines (w3c says targets are a no-no)swade wrote: The inability to open links in the main content area was a total deal breaker for me.
Mambo sucks, that's why I am here.
Now they call it Joomla, but it still sucks!
CMSMS rules!
