Hi Guys,
I built this site for a guy last week. http://www.homeswithaheartbeat.com Its pretty plain vanilla right out of the box kind of site. I believe I checked it with both firefox and IE and it was working fine. Now, it's working when you view it with firefox but not in IE.
The content on the index page is pushed down below the news. The other pages are working in IE. Since all the pages are using the same stylesheet, I am thinking its got something to do with the page content. Anybody have any ideas?
It seems like I ran across this when I was customizing the stylesheet for a different site, but I can't remember what I was doing when I saw it happen.
This site is powered by CMS Made Simple version 1.0.6

Thanks
John

Re: Content being pushed down to the bottom of the page
I tried removing the global content blocks. no difference
I tried removing the super script characters no difference
I checked the page with an HTML Validator and its happy except for a disabled property of the checkbox for the newsletter signup.
I removed all the content from the home page and rebuilt it from scratch. It worked.. must have been something in the content. I wonder what it was..

Re: Content being pushed down to the bottom of the page
Many times it is tables, blockquotes or something similar that have different margins, paddings with IE than in Firefox. In combination with 3px float bug that IE6 has this happens quite easily. I've even seen tag which makes one or more lines create this problem and latest problem I found was list-style-image that created page to be bit wider and making it drop to under float's.
Re: Content being pushed down to the bottom of the page
I concur with KO. Try changing the table sizes if you have any, and also reduce the size of the images on that page in the Image Properties of the Content page you are dealing with. I had this problem quite a bit starting out, and what looks ok in the Editor will lots of times get ugly on the actual site when the menu info is factored in, etc. I use the Preview function quite a bit for this to see "how far over the line" so to speak I am!
Not sure if this really addresses your particular problem, but it has helped me.
Good luck with it.
Good luck with it.

Try giving the table 99% instead of the full 100%.

I reduced the image size, and set the table to 99% rather than 100%
It's looking much better.
Thanks Guys!
