Well, it's out.  Please have a look and put any bugs here or in the bug tracking system.

I'm going to be pretty tied up for the next week, so I probably won't get to do too many bug fixes until next weekend.  We'll see how it goes...

I've installed the beta4 and there is still a problem if you want to add image's in your content page's

Don't know is this is bug or unsupported feature In the News module:

The main News table has columns only for Post Title and Post Date. Should Status and start/expiry date be shown here?

Also it would be nice to be able to click the title to edit the page (like for content)

New discovery:
News module will not show help in any language. I only get this:

I agree that status should be in the list.  It only makes sense.  I guess dates could be too, but since they're optional, I'm not totally sold.

Same with clicking on the title.

I'm actually finding a few things missing from News that I'll have to jump on before 0.10 comes out.

The German language file for the News module lacked a few strings for the admin backend. The updated file can be found here.
By the way: could the morelink be integrated into the language files? I know, it can be modified in the create page dialog, but I'd need it for the news area on my homepage...

Yeah, I was looking into the help not working in any language last night.  I couldn't track down the bug before I went to sleep.  I'm going to take another stab tonight, but my evening is fading fast.

I installed this version just now, it's very cool and works really better than beta2.

Another comment to News 2.0 - in the previous version the main list showed the category of each posting and you could filter on category. This was useful whene there's lot's of news and categories....
Can it be re-instated for 2.1?

You're talking about the category option, right?  It's still in there.  Maybe it's not working right, but it's still there...

I mean the list of articles shown in the article tab - it only shows Post Title & Date and there's no dropdown to select a cetgory

Changeset 1764 results in the 'no submenus' problem again in phplayers.
Maybe similar fix to 1750 is required ?
