Gallery help and ideas needed...

Hi All,

I'm using CMS MS 1.13 Savanu and am finding it great to use and adapt; hats off to the dev. team!

Now I need to implement a gallery section. The client has several sections within which she'd like to show her work like this:

Gallery one: Pic 1, 2 , 3, 4

Gallery two: Pic 1, 2, 3

etc.

I'd need a way to navigate through the pics in each gallery and she'd need to be able to administer each gallery herself. I've seen this post: http://forum.cmsmadesimple.org/index.ph ... 469.0.html which is interesting. I like the way that Thickbox it used. So if anyone has any ideas/posts etc than I'd really appriciate your help/advice.

I'm pretty familiar with the workings of CMS MS so don't hold back!

Now, of course, I have some questions:

What do I need (I'm presuming the album module to start with?) to get this working?

Can the user add photos themselves? How are the thumbs generated?

Is the Thickbox stuff added automatically?

What are, and how do I use Thickbox templates? (ordinary templates with TB stuff added?)

Sorry for all this obvious lack of understanding on this but I'd greatly appriciate any guidance.

AFAIK (I'm not very familiar with Album):
You only need the Album module. The user can add photo's (select them from the images uploaded through the Image Manager). Thumbs are generated automatically. A Thickbox/lightbox templates are installed with the module.
The Album module has quite extensive help to help you set it up.

Yes, thank's for that. I've installed album and have had a play with it and so my questions are slowly being resolved (I'm sure I'll have some more though!)

Where can I obtain the Grey Box template and style sheet

I am a noob in css an templating so I need someone to help me BIG on this please ?

From what I understand Greybox is the default template now, just remember to attach the Album style sheet to the template...

Right you are ,found it and works now.

The templates and the css is however located in an other lpace the where CMSMS expects it to be I guess, i had to open these files in a text editor, copie all code and create my own css files before I could use them, don't know if it was intended this way but I got it figured iut.

BTW the greybox template is named default in the package, so it is at least very inconsistent I must add.
