RSS module

hey ted. the module works just fine in 1.04. thanks for it.

i have a couple suggestions for a (hopefully) next release:

add the ability to pass certain magpie configuration variables from the cms module tag to the external script? a few of them would be handy, but the one i'm most interested in is max cache time. there are some feeds you want to update often, and others that only need to be updated daily or weekly (or the feed source gets mad when you update more frequently than necessary).

add the option to display (or not) the feed logo, feed description, and images in the entries; and perhaps the date/time the feed was last updated (cached).

other ideas....

be pretty cool if you could also specify a string to strip out of url's embedded in the feed (click trackers, etc), or strip out entire entries ('sponsored' entries, ads, etc). good for ummm.. 'borrowing' feeds..  ;) (shhhh!)

i like the simplicity of just typing a module tag and having it work. but a more elaborate back-end might be easier for some. a place to enter feed names, cache times, css class to assign (to the feed as a whole, and to individual entries), # of items to display, etc. so all you need to specify on the module tag is the defined name of the feed (and allow them to be overridden by the module tag parameters.
