Module license questions

If I create a module: do I have to release it under the same license as CMSMS is?

Or can I create "commercial" modules? Or modules which I don't release and just use it for myself?

Yes you can create modules only for you (but I bet some people would be gratefull to be able to use your modules too

you can use whatever license you like in your module. (but again gpl is nice and all

basically you can do almost anything with modules you create. of course if you use some other libraries in your module you should check what their licenses says and so on...
