bgsound: howto? Topic is solved

does anybody know how (and where) to put a bgsound in my site?

i have a file bgsound.mp3 and want this starting when the "surfers" open my site...

Hi xandeact.

This is generally not done these days, puts people off. But you could use any of the following peices of code to achieve what you want:

Try each one to see which works best for you and CMSMS. Simply replace the folder name (sounds) with your folder, or create a folder on your server called sounds and upload your mp3 file to it.

There are other ways of doing it, including using Javascript, but the above is the simplest and usually works - no guarantees though.

ok. really works...

but....  slows down website... (the mp3 file size is 128KB)... i think it is not a heavy file size.. but...

You could use something like this, it can be used as just a little player to just give control to the visitor to turn it off w/o the screen or list of songs.
