Need a little bit of help choosing the right modules for my site.

Hello everyone I was going to get some opinions so that I don't have to do this over and over or make a lot of changes. I am a beginner actually but I'm somewhat familiar with a couple of these cms's I have used them a couple times and so I have some idea of what's happening although not very much.

On our side we need to basically have a blog area we need an area with a form and we need a way to allow people to sign in on the front end and assign permissions as to which things they can access so can't or they can post and certain areas or not just basically their permission.

Not that far down the line we're going to want to add e-commerce sell some of our merchandise and to help some of our members sell their merchandise.


Also it would be excellent well it's actually requirement in the long run we need to figure a way so that our members could chat with each other and build relationships.

Currently I only have the core elements installed I didn't have any problems I love the product I wanted to use it in another instant in the client went instead with Drupal that is a hell of a learning curve. Now for this project I'm personally invested in and they don't have any money of course and I have very little I'm trying to help some people more than anything and it's something that I'm passionate about.

The site is prisonproject.net we are we are advocates for prison reform and legislation for legal reforms as well. But more importantly we share information and give motivation and support to the family members left behind. Any help advice and/or support would be appreciated greatly. thank you very much.
