Indicate Php version supported for each module

Post by pierrepercee »

Every module developer should clearly indicate the supported php version for each available module (i.e. without any deprecated elements). Since the move to Github is imminent (I am a bit wary of this term) this would be an excellent idea, which can be easily implemented.
This is obviously already the case for most of the most popular CMS.
What a time saver for end users. !

I totally agree, the information on the PHP version supported per module is very important, especially for those who often update servers or migrate hosting. It's not uncommon to find interesting modules but end up wasting time because they are not compatible. If you move to GitHub later, hopefully it can become a new standard..

If you move to GitHub later,
The GitHub for CMS Made Simple is Open,
- but at the moment only for cmsmadesimple, and it's very quiet ;)
- cmsforge is a very old version (18 years ago)
