Dear forists,
cmsms ver 2.2.21
I stumbled over the problem, that I interrupted my work on a template and then could not continue bc the template was locked by a user with the very same username as I have.
I would consider this a bug, of minor importance though.
Then I set the max lock time to zero. The template remained locked. After the locking time was up, I still couldn't work on it, but now on hover a message appeared: "you can unlock this page" but with no hint about how to achieve this.
--- now I realized, that i can just start to work on the template by clicking on the "edit" button, but then I was informed, that
"Another user is editing this item. You will not be able to save any of your work until lock time out expires."
Which is somewhat unexpected, as
1. I am this "other user"
2. Lock time out has already expired.
-- now I realized, that I can save the template perfectly, in spite of what the message sais. So the problem seems to be the message being put out in spite of what it sais is wrong.
Any thoughts?
Any ideas?

Re: template locked by myself
The locking mechanism is due for a full rework in the next major release, it's never been completely reliable and is better in some browsers than others. You can disable it by setting it to 0 (doesn't affect existing locks), or you can use the "remove all content locks" link in most cases if something is already locked.
That said, I find it very helpful in preventing me from overwriting my own work in another tab, even if nobody else works on the site.

Re: template locked by myself
Thx for the answer. In the end this is not more than an annoyance.
could you give a hint as to where I find the "remove all content locks" function?
