Replace old CG* modules with new forked ones

Hello again,

currently CGBlog depends on the old Modules "CGExtensions, CGSimpleSmarty, JQueryTools":

Is it possible to replace the old modules/dependencies with the new ones from the "Module Forking Project", like:
CGExtensions -> CMSMSExt
CGSimpleSmarty -> SmartyExt
as the new ones would probably profit from PHP 8.x fixes?

That would be a bad idea, no one is testing the forked modules against ancient unsupported modules like CGBlog.

You or anyone in the community are welcome to fork CGBlog and update its dependencies, or just change them on your end. CG did not give permission for anyone to modify the original module though.
