File Manager access permission error

Post by TFcroft4 »

In File Manager when I try to access a sub directory I get the following error.
( I created a new test directory but cannot access it.)

Any guidance would be welcome.

Ted

Sorry you don't have permission to access this page:

Check with your host to see if mod_security is enabled.

Thanks

That seems to have worked.

However the change comes with a warning:
"Warning: ModSecurity is disabled for one or more of your domains. Only disable ModSecurity while you troubleshoot a problem with your configuration. Without ModSecurity enabled, your domains lose the extra layer of protection that the module provides."

Should I worry?
Also any thought as to what may have changed to now require this change to the server settings.

Thanks
Ted

You can ask your host to find the specific rule and whitelist it if you want to reenable modsec. It's not a cmsms issue (and is not supported by cmsms) so it's between you and your host to decide what's best.
