CGExtensions 1.64.8 Breaks Admin

Post by montedavis »

Hello

I recently did a fresh install of CMSMS and tried to add the product module, which required add'l CG mods. After adding the mods to the CMSMS app, not installing them yet, I receive an error of:

Warning: Unsupported declare 'strict_types' in /home/wwwmw1corp/public_html/modules/CGExtensions/CGExtensions.module.php on line 55

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ':', expecting ';' or '{' in /home/wwwmw1corp/public_html/modules/CGExtensions/CGExtensions.module.php on line 280

My version of CGExtensions that was installed is 1.64.8, which identifies possible issues w/Strict... in the change log.

I next downloaded the 1.64.7 CGExtensions and uploaded that mod, removing 1.64.8 and receive this on page error:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ':', expecting ';' or '{' in /home/wwwmw1corp/public_html/modules/CGExtensions/CGExtensions.module.php on line 280

If someone can please let me know what I need to do to fix this issue it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Monte

Pretty sure the latest versions of CGExtensions need PHP 7.2+
Not getting the answer you need? CMSMS support options

Thank you for your prompt reply. I have gone back to 1.61.5, which was last know working version that I had and was able to load the Modules Manager page w/o error.

Thanks for this post - I've just had the same issue and wasn't sure what was causing it - must be the PHP version.

Have checked the 'about' fie for the module and version 1.62 onwards requires PHP7 so 1.61.5 would be the last one that would work
