Hi All,
I am currently using the Front End Users in combination with the Self Registration modules and I have a similar question to viewtopic.php?f=7&t=75061&p=328980&hili ... st#p328980 which did not have any responses.
In FEU i am using emails as usernames.
I have set the following in the Self Registration preferences:
Only allow matched username/emails to register
Have not selected and 'Absolutely forbid users to register to these groups'
Have a list of domains in the whitelist such as
*@domain1.com
*@domain2.com
Have also tried
@domain1.com
@domain2.com
however when i go to register using a test @gmail.com account it lets me self register which appears to be counter to the settings?
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated

Re: FEU Self Registration Whitelist Security Setting
Is anyone able to confirm if this is as designed, if I am using the settings incorrectly or if this is a bug?
Appreciate any feedback.

Re: FEU Self Registration Whitelist Security Setting
I haven't tried it, but do you have the Enable Whitelist dropdown set to 'Only allow matched username/emails to register' ?
If so, check the admin log and php error log, it's possible something isn't working properly, but it's good to have all of the information before you file a bug report.

Re: FEU Self Registration Whitelist Security Setting
Yes I have Enable Whitelist dropdown set to 'Only allow matched username/emails to register'
I have checked the admin log and php error log.
The php error log was pretty clean. A few errors from known page coding session but nothing obvious in relating to this issue.
Attached is an example from the admin log and the settings. It seems to be ignoring the whitelist. the whitelist makes no reference to outlook.com yet it registers the user.

Re: FEU Self Registration Whitelist Security Setting
Enable Whitelist dropdown is set to 'Only allow matched username/emails to register' as per image:
Any further suggestions, anyone out there have this feature setup and working as intended?
Any assistance appreciated.
Glen

Just curious as to why my two previous posts have not yet been approved by a moderator? Please advise it they did not meet any forum requirements.

Sorry about that, most likely moderators have been busy... sometimes it happens ...
