Module Server Unavailable

Post by fowlerat »

Hi,

When using the module manager (CMSMS 2.1.6) the 'A problem communication with the module server' has been occuring for over 24hrs.

Could someone take a look?

Thanks

Alan

Works fine here. and the server is on the other side of the continent to where I am. So it may be a problem with your internet.

That may be but its not working here.

Have tried on a PC and on a MAC - on two different CMSMS installations running on two seperate servers. Have also tried from my iPhone whilst connected to 4G. Always getting the communication failure message.

Have you tried whilst running an install of 2.1.6 and clicking on Module Manager in admin?

Yes, from 3 different installs of CMSMS. It's not a CMSMS issue or a server issue.

Still not working after cache clears etc etc...

Would you be able to let me have the IP address of the server so that I can check that the hardware host hasn't blacklisted it for some reason on their network?

Many thanks

Alan

Brand new install - same problem.

wget on new install from s3.amazonaws.com downloaded fine - so servers are talking to each other

Any developers have any ideas why the module manager will not communicate or tests that can be run to help diagnose the problem?

The ip address that you should be checking if blacklisted is 66.175.210.253.
