Educational website

Post by scooper »

Really pleased with this one.

http://www.ourmigrationstory.org.uk

It's a site for school children that covers migration into Britain over the last couple of thousand years. Lots of genuinely interesting stuff on it (like this article that has the different rations for black and white sailors).

Anyway - a big shout out to calGuy for the CGImage module which is used a lot (as usual).

The articles themselves are managed in a module we put together specifically for the site but apart from that and CGImage it's a pretty straightforward CMSMS install.

It is pretty much the first site we've used flexbox extensively for layout in which has been very handy.

We also use the Photoswipe responsive gallery script which worked very well for us and is worth a look.

Cheers.

Truly great site!

(I also like photoswipe - only used on one site, so far - "swipeability", sharing and non-dependence on jQuery is impressive).

Excellent - I was going to suggest it would be a good one to include in the Gallery module
