cms 2.0 installation stops at Step 7

Hi,

I have tried several times on two different domains, and no matter what I try (the phar or the expandable install), installation always stops at step 7. This is a brand new installation, blank mySQL DB - new site.

PHP 5.6
MySQL 5.5
Hosting: LFChosting.com (windows server environment).

Sometimes installation will stop at Step 7 and just show: "Extract files from archive". And other times it will show all the extracted files, but no "Next" button. I cannot continue past step 7 to create the database and finish the installation. (I've done an upgrade to v2.0 with no issues, but I want to do a brand new install.)

Has anyone ran into this and if you have, is there a resolution?

Where do I find the install error logs?

I attached a screen shot of what Step 8 looks like for me. There is no next button to continue on.

Not install error logs but PHP error logs. "Where" will depend on your server configuration... There are typical configurations (you can Google about it) or ask your provider.

The 11.2+ installs on a new site do not work either. I installed 1.11.13 and did upgrades from there to 2.0. I'll do this work around for now.

The 11.2+ versions stopped at the database step just as did the 2.0 install did.

Blank Screen.
Clean install. New DB.

for some reason that topic got moved to "The Lounge" though. Is upgrading from 1.12.1 to 2.0.1.1 already supposed to work nowadays?

@naturelab & @tristan: Is your hosting on Windows Servers?

For me, this is the only thing I can think off that might be causing the installation issues. I'm thinking of switching hosts, but cringe at the thought of how "not fun" that will be with 30+ site.
