Hi Can anyone help me. I am having some problems with form builder that is not working right on the hosting I am on. I copied my CMSMS Site down to my local computer and works fine; also I copied it on a some other hosting and all works too. . Can some tell me what could be the problem, I need to tell them there is something worng with there hosting that some settings need to set right. I dont know what could be.
Whats happending is. that when I am using a input field and the user enters something like 'http://www.pages.com' its breaks to form and get forbettin error or not found. Any other text is entered no problems. it's so odd.
Can anyone know what could be problem.
Cheers

Probably best to post a link (if you can) so it can be tested because
isn't really enough to go on.its breaks to form and get forbettin error or not found

Ask your provider. The might be able to disable mod_security for your domain or make it less restrictive.andrewvideo wrote:Calguy1001 said maybe could a mod_security. Any thoughts would be great,

Installed CMSMS once on hosting with mod_security. It was a painfull experience...

Re: Form Builder problem with hosting.
When we fill out a web form that we have created for any of our sites, involving a text input field we notice that that although it works without special characters, when we input and submit for example a web URL ("http://example.com) we receive a error saying ‘page not found’ or ‘forbidden’.
Normal text works fine. We have duplicated the site down to our local machine and the form works perfectly. We have also checked it on two other hosting accounts elsewhere and again there are no issues.
I’ve tried a clean install of CMS made simple but to no avail. The issue since they upgrade severs.

Re: Form Builder problem with hosting.
Sounds to me like form spam prevention. A lot of form spam will include "http://..." and so the hosting may be set up to reject any form inputs that match this? Sounds a bit harsh though.
