editing CSS and HTML by FTP?

Post by toolman »

Hi there,

Is it possible to edit the CSS/HTML via FTP as I find it is taking a long time to code in my admin and "apply" changes each time.

Thanks
Cherry

there is a modul called template externalizer, which does exactly this..
Besides there is a firefox add-on called 'It's all text', which also helps a lot.

Thanks for the reply. I will look into the module. I already have FireBug which I use, but it just seems to be taking so long editing in admin.

additional info:
once you've started TemplateExternalizer it exports your stylesheets and templates to files.
You can then use for example notepad++ which has an ftp plugin ( nppftp) to edit the styles and templates directly.
