0.12 - modules not writeable message

Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

0.12 - modules not writeable message

Post by KevinK »

When first installing the system, on the first screen after going to mydomain.com/index.php, I now get a failure on the last "Checking File Permissions" screen:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Checking write permission on /home/dollar98/public_html/modules

Modules is not writable. You can still install the system, but you will not be able to install modules via the admin panel.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
However, it states at the bottom that:
"All of your tests show successful. Please click the Continue button."

The attributes of the module directory are set to 755. Should that be changed or is this something to ignore...

You can safely ignore it.  Since there aren't many modules in xml format that you can install from the admin anyway, it's not going to make much difference to you.
