Search finds all my inactive content even with NotSearchable tag

Post by crumb »

I can't figure out why but my search is finding all my inactive content. Has anybody run into this? I am running the most current version of the search module.
Any suggestions?

I saw that this problem was fixed in the bug report notes in a newer version. However I have an older version (1.4.1) and would not want to upgrade it. Could you please guide me which part in the code I can change in order to fix. I appreciate already so much.

Please read through the sticky posts in this forum discussing the supported versions of CMSMS. We will not suggest any changes to older versions of the software because

1.) 1.4.1 hasn't been supported for many many months

2.) If you do hack the code with this one change we cannot guarantee it will not break something else with the Core or Modules. Then you will expect us to help you fix that. We barely have enough time to develop the next version and support the previous version. Let alone a version that is over a year and a half old.

3.) We never EVER support hacked installs, especially when the current version offers what you want.

Please upgrade, deal with what you have or make the change you want on your own. We do not condone hacking the core because of the issues it will cause.

In addition to tyman's excellent comments, why would you not want to upgrade your site?  Security enhancements, new features, many bug fixes...  the list of reasons to upgrade is quite long.  If you do not want to upgrade, you need to be prepared to maintain/fix your older version yourself.

Thanks! In my hurried rant I forgot to include that part. Why not upgrade... the security and new features alone would excite me to upgrade.
