HELP: relative URLS..

Post by longshot »

Hi folks,

here is my problem. i have the latest cmsmadesimple installed. i have confirmed the wsywig editor is used and the relative urls box is ticked however it still seems to used aboslute values.

I'm using a xampp on windows as the server which works great as localhost. i have portwarded and allowed access thru firewall to my install machine.

When accessing from external address (in this formate with ip changed http://123.123.123.123/cmsmadesimple/), the index page draws however all links and images appear to use a localhost reference (http://localhost/cmsmadesimple/). can i change this, am i missing something???

Thanx in advance folks as i really want to get this running (prolly eventually using dyndns)

well I think in the config you have localhost as server and it will not work when you access the address using the ip .

If you need it to work, maybe you should change localhost from your config, to your local IP...

I'm moving this thread.

Seriously what part of the board description didn't you understand?

Even your topic has the word HELP in it. Not trying to be a jerk, but I could be answering posts and helping instead of moving all of the help questions out of this board.
If all else fails, use a bigger hammer.
